How did Deer Arrow Start?

We are two sisters Phoebe and Lauren, living in a tiny town located on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. In early 2015 our beautiful mother was diagnosed with cancer creating chaos in our lives, but leading to a positive life change for us both. We combined our love of vintage and quirky design and created "Deer Arrow". ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​
Our little business started with primarily hand painted wooden brooches, which we still love, and then we discovered the versatility of acrylic! Our love of creating beautiful and quirky brooches has been so positively received by our amazing supporters, that we have invested time and money in to creating a sustainable business.

​Who Makes Deer Arrow?

Deer Arrow is 100% made by us, in our home office. Phoebe, Lauren, our Dad (Kel) And Mum (Angie) hand make every single piece. From design, to cutting, gluing, quality control, polishing and to finally wrapping and presenting each piece. 

Where is Deer Arrow made?

All our pieces are made in our office, on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. We pride ourselves on keeping Deer Arrow very ethical, by supporting other Australian business. We source most of our materials from Australia, the USA and the UK. ​ ​

Why is Deer Arrow limited?

We love being handmade and not mass produced. We are only a small family run business, so this is also why our designs are limited. Plus we love that every single one of our designs is special! You can find all of our retired designs in The Archive (on our website). ​

Deer Arrow has created a real sense of community for us. One of our greatest loves is getting to know our beautiful customers and seeing our designs bring such joy to them. Getting to know you all, inspires us to continue to try new ideas and pushes us to be more creative as we strive to produce pieces you will cherish for years to come.
